The project, located at the company’s site in Glenfarg, marks the fourth collaboration between the two businesses.
The new plant is designed for processing construction and demolition (C&D) waste, with a focus on increasing throughput, improving material purity, and supporting Binn Group’s wider renewable energy strategy.
The site also incorporates waste-to-energy technology and four wind turbines producing 9MW of electricity for on-site consumption.
The installation follows a relationship between the companies that spans more than 20 years. Kiverco previously assisted Binn Group after a fire damaged its plant, helping to restore operations quickly.
Binn Group has also redeployed older Kiverco systems, with a decommissioned plant sold and recommissioned at another waste business in Scotland.
Kiverco Sales Manager Marcus McAlinden said the latest project integrates automation and an optical sorter to adapt to changing waste streams and generate additional value from recovered materials.
Allan MacGregor, Vice Chairman of the Resource Management Association Scotland and a director at Binn Group, said the facility would provide “cleaner commodities, higher throughput, and the capacity to handle more waste in the future.”
Binn Group’s Director of Operations Stewart Smith added that the new plant was “more robust and heavy-duty than competitors we considered,” noting Kiverco’s track record in delivering reliable machinery.
Kiverco, based in Dungannon, Northern Ireland, designs and manufactures bespoke recycling plants for customers in the UK and internationally.
