JCB adds to WasteMaster Range

By Lindsay Gale12 March 2008

Pride of place at a recent JCB waste day went to the TM310 WasteMaster telescopic wheeled loader, one of numerous machines from the range that were on show. The machine, new to the WasteMaster range, boasts an enlarged fuel tank of 160 litres, up 60 litres over the model it replaces, the TM300. It features an improved operator cab and a more durable and reliable driveline. A revised boom end geometry increases rollback torque by 91% and auxiliary control has been refined. Standard fittings include front and roof screens, a wide core radiator, engine sump drain, cyclonic air filtration, air conditioning in the cab and a reverse alarm. The machine also sports extra rear chassis guarding, front belly plate, propshaft and front chassis cover plate.

The TM310 takes its place in the 2008 range of WasteMasters, which will consist of 26 machines from across JCB's ranges. These will include Loadall telehandlers, Robot skid steers, Teletruk forklifts, wheeled and tracked excavators. Previously many of the machines were available to customers fitted with WasteMaster packages, but JCB will now offer them with tailored packages to suit each machine type – in essence, making them 'standard' JCB WasteMaster machines as opposed to being a standard machine fitted with a range of options.

According to Jonathon Garnham, general manager for waste, recycling and demolition at JCB: “Waste and recycling continues to be a growing industry. It demands and merits a range of dedicated and specific machines that can provide industry solutions.”
