HKL provided both a Yanmar and a Komatsu excavator with attachments for the demolition project

The 200-year-old building, which had become dilapidated, was previously used for storing hay, straw and farm machinery. According to HKL, demolition of the structure, followed by the construction of a new building, had become the most economical solution for the farm building’s owners.

Contractors Gerhard Pühringer rented a Komatsu PC138 from HKL, equipped with addition cabin protection, a hydraulic hammer and sorting grapple for the demolition phase. The rental company also provided a Yanmar ViO80 tracked excavator for the project.

Ingrid Weinlich, Rental Planner at HKL Center Linz, said, “Demolition requires increased demands on the machines. We know these well and therefore offer special equipment, such as hydraulic hammers and sorting grapples.”

The project’s demolition waste was processed with a mobile crusher and reused in the construction of the new agricultural building.
