Hear about 300-metre stack demolition at WDS 2021

Visitors to this year’s World Demolition Summit (WDS, Chicago, USA, 20-21 October) can learn how a 304 m (1,000 ft) stack at the Widows Creek fossil plant was demolished in the latest addition to the conference programme.

Roger Waldrep, the Tennessee Valley Authority’s vice president of major projects in generation projects and fleet services, will be joined on stage by Dennis McGarel – vice president sales and estimating of the project’s contractor Brandenburg Industrial Service Company – and Ahmed Amir Khalil, whose company Applied Science International performed the computer modelling for the demolition.
Between them, the trio have more than 60 years of industry experience.
