German demolition conference cancelled

The association said the cancellation was due to “the current pandemic with its significantly increasing number of infections” and said the decision had been taken “with a heavy heart”.

It also suggested that the event may have been cancelled anyway due to government restrictions.

“We very much regret this step, but it is unfortunately necessary, especially since a forthcoming official rejection seems more than possible,” said the DA.

“This, even later than now, would pose even greater challenges to all of us.

“We were still looking forward to our event at the end of last year. Now, unfortunately things have turned out differently.”

This is the second consecutive year that Covid has forced a cancellation.

The 2023 conference is scheduled to take place in the German capital on 3 March.
