A United Kingdom-based supplier of welfare units to the construction industry is meeting increasing demand from the government and National Health Service (NHS) for Coronavirus testing centres.

Garic, based in the north of England, has supplied to building sites since 1998, but as the pandemic has taken hold in recent weeks the company has made its units available in a new role.

One of the most important uses of these test centres is in the testing of NHS staff. By implementing these testing centres, NHS workers who have tested negative for the virus can go back to treating patients on the front line.

However, Garic said that only a small percentage of the health workers in England have been tested for the virus, making it more important than ever that these test centre cabins are supplied.

The company is also assisting the national effort by supplying to convenient and central locations, to avoid people who go to tests taking further risks by travelling unnecessarily large distances.

Garic’s unit facilities include freshwater units, waste and fuel tanks, flushing toilets, urinals, hot and cold water, hand dryers, heating, lighting and power generators.
