UK contractor Squibb Group has added four Volvo excavators to its fleet of demolition machines. The largest of the four is a fully refurbished 36 tonne EC360BLC, which has been joined by a 21 tonne EC210C and two 16 tonne EC160Cs.

All four machines feature full FOGS guarding on the cab and heavy duty guarding for the boom cylinders. All four come with additional hydraulic systems required for the use of hammers or shears as standard. The Volvos join Squibb's mixed fleet of 80 machines ranging from 1.5 tonne to 87 tonnes.

This addition to its fleet follows the recent acquisition of another Volvo EC360B. According to operations director Wesley Squibb: "With client demands increasing and contract durations seemingly being compressed, we feel plant reliability and the build-up of good working rerlationships with our preferred plant supply chain as a key factor in the successful delivery of our on-going projects. We've certainly been impressed with the machine's build quality, robustness and general reliability, and as a result have opted for Volvo once again.

The machines were supplied by Volvo's used equipment department based in Duxford, UK, where some refurbishment and the necessary modifications were carried out.
