Epiroc starts work on new distribution centre in Sweden

Epiroc has broken ground on a 29,000m² global distribution centre in Örebro, Sweden, that will consolidate the company’s aftermarket operations into a single facility.

The new site will serve as a hub for spare parts supporting Epiroc’s drill rigs, loaders and mine trucks.

It replaces a network of smaller distribution points in the city, with advanced automation and logistics systems expected to improve efficiency, safety and environmental performance.

Örebro is already one of Epiroc’s main manufacturing, R&D and distribution hubs, with about 3,000 of the company’s 19,000 global employees based in the city.

“The new distribution centre… is a key step in our journey to optimise our supply chain, which benefits customers and supports Epiroc’s profitable growth,” said Helena Hedblom, Epiroc president and CEO.

The facility will feature solar panels and is scheduled to be inaugurated in the second half of 2027. A cost for the project was not available.
