The system combines asset tracking with real-time data insights to give users greater control and visibility across their equipment fleets.

InSite, which is brand agnostic, provides monitoring of location, usage and maintenance needs for attachment tools.

It can be installed on new equipment or retrofitted and operates through a large mesh network connecting more than 1.3 million devices worldwide.

The system enables real-time tracking, automated service alerts and geofencing to help detect unauthorised movements and reduce theft risk.

Maintenance planning is supported through predictive tools that aim to minimise downtime, while cellular and GPS connectivity via Epiroc’s HATCON platform supports productivity, uptime and safety.

Epiroc said InSite can be integrated with most existing fleet management systems through the AEMP API (ISO 15143-3) standard and provides mobile access for on-site teams.

The devices have a battery life of three to five years under normal field conditions, and all data is protected with enterprise-level encryption.

Installation involves mounting the device, pairing it with the asset and activating the platform.
