In an end-of-year message to members, the association mentioned in particular its webinar programme, the publication of its annual Industry Report and two equipment guides, and preparations for the return of its Annual Convention in 2022, scheduled to take place in Paris, France from 9 to 11 June and its first in-person annual gathering for four years.

The EDA, which has represented the demolition industry in Europe since 1978, said: “2021 is coming to an end. It has been a year full of uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but we have succeeded in bringing numerous projects to fruition.

“We organised numerous webinars, as well as different working groups to continue meeting and achieving their goals: encouraging the exchange of good practices, the development of reference documentation, the creation of dissemination or training materials and the promotion of the guild in general.

“Although it has been a tough year regarding events, the EDA has been present at industry events. More importantly, we announced the Annual Convention for 2022.

“Tangible goals were also given to members, such as the Guides about Attachments and Carriers for demolition and recycling, the EDA Yearbook 2021, and the European Demolition Industry Report 2021, which provided a visual overview of Europe’s demolition industry from data gathered through the year.”
