Dual power move by Terex Washing Systems

Terex Washing Systems has announced the introduction of a Dual Power control system that is available on all M-Range Wash Plant. This consists of both diesel-hydraulic and electrical-hydraulic power drives that allow the customer to start, transport and operate the machine using the standard diesel engine.

Once in a working position that has an electrical power source available, the machine can simply be plugged into the supply and machine operated using the electrical-hydraulic drive, resulting in significantly reduced operating costs. Should the plant need to be relocated, it can be simply unplugged and the diesel system started to carry out the move.

According to TWS product line director Sean Loughran: "For the past few years there has been an increasing focus on energy efficiency and alternative improved methods of running mobile machinery. Traditionally Diesel-Hydraulic drive systems have been used for both machine movement and operation, resulting in significant fuel costs. We decided it was time to offer our customers a better alternative.”

The Dual Power option is available now on the M1400, M1700 and M2100 Mobile Rinser plants
