Austrian compact crusher manufacturer dsb Innocrush celebrated 10 years of business in mid-October with a gathering of customers and dealers in the company’s home city of Linz. Owner and CEO Dieter Durstmüller said: “We have come a long way in these 10 years. When we started, it was not always easy but we always had the aim of producing machines with the best performance and the highest output possible. We also wanted to make the machines as simple as possible to allow customers to use them easily – the simple solution is always the best one.”

The company also used the event to announce that it is currently working on a substantial redesign of its machines as well as a change of livery. Industrial designer Wolfgang Wurm explained that during the redesign, the tracks have been moved forwards on the machine for improved balance and the gangways and ladders have been replaced by a solid service platform, This offers improved safety as well as reduced noise emissions from vibration effects.

The new livery makes use of dsb’s corporate colours – overall resulting in a modern and light appearance, said Wolfgang. The Innocrush 30 will be the first machine to receive the treatment and Wolfgang said that the plan is for the machine to be unveiled at the bauma show next year. However, he emphasised that at this stage, the redesign is only at the concept stage, and that the final result might only incorporate 60-70% of the initial concept. Visitors to bauma next year should be able to gauge just how much has been translated into metal!
