Diary dates - demolition in Berlin

The Berlin Demolition Conference has been held annually in March from the inaugural event in 1995. Since the Deutscher Abbruchverband assumed responsibility for this long-standing event in 2011, simultaneous translation into English and French has opened the event out to a more international audience. Over 700 visitors and 80 exhibitors now attend Europe's leading demolition event, which is open to anyone interested in demolition-related matters.

The Convention attracts demolition contractors, representatives from engineering groups, public officials and site managers. It offers the opportunity to get rapidly up to date with topics of current interest in the demolition world through around 20 presentations each year. Speakers are recognised experts and practitioners and report on the latest developments and innovations in the areas of technology, hazardous substances, recycling, health & safety and accident prevention. The programme also includes practical information on important legislative changes and demolition site reports.

Both the accompanying trade show and the excursions organised to demolition sites in Berlin on the second day round the programme off. Friday’s ‘dialogue evening’ at the 'Alte Pumpen' affords participants great networking opportunities in an informal atmosphere - the ideal opportunity to consolidate existing contacts and make new ones.
