Founded by Kjeld Jensen in 1997 and now based in Haderslev, Denmark, ReTec Miljø ApS serves customers in the recycling and waste management sector.

It is a specialist supplier of recycling machines and plant components, and also offers its own bespoke machinery development services.

Rainer Rehn, Regional Sales Manager at ZenRobotics, said: “We are thrilled to work with ReTec Miljø ApS.

“Their deep industry knowledge and strong customer relationships, combined with our cutting-edge robotics, create a powerful synergy. Together, we will address Denmark’s recycling challenges and contribute to a more sustainable future.”

Described as a “significant step forward” in its expansion across Europe”, ZenRobotics hopes the deal will accelerate the adoption of robotic waste sorting in Denmark.

While Denmark already has a well-established recycling market, ZenRobotices says “there remains untapped potential to optimise material recovery rates”.

Kjeld Jensen, owner of ReTec Miljø ApS, adds: “The demand and interest for robotic sorting solutions is growing rapidly, and we are excited to offer our customers the best-in-class technology available.”

Commenting on his company’s new status as a dealer for the technology specialist, Kjeld said: “Becoming a ZenRobotics distributor is a natural progression for ReTec.

“We have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of ZenRobotics technology through the successful implementation of two recycling facilities in Denmark.

“We will now have a local reference base for advanced robotic sorting—the plant in Roskilde is owned by Solum A/S, and the one in Copenhagen is owned by RGS Nordic.”
