Demo Expo 2103 takes shape

Details are emerging of what will be on offer at the joint NFDC/IDE Demolition Exhibition that will be held at Armac’s Arden Brickwork site near Solihull, Birmingham, on the 28^th and 29^th of June, 2013. The first day will see a formal conference in a Marquee on the site, with admission priced at only £50. The day will take the form of three sessions, kicking off at 9.45 with an address from new NFDC president William Sinclair, followed by another chance to hear from Howard Button about the DRIDS scheme that is being introduced by the NFDC. This session will be brought to a close by a presentation on the development of the first high reach training simulator by NDTG manager Sophie Cox and Volvo’s Phil Jones.

Session Two will start at 11.30 with an presentation by John Underwood from the Health & Safey Executive with the final paper before lunch being presented by Kocurek on the topic of high reach equipment.

The afternoon session will commence at 2.00pm with a project report from AR Demolition, which will be followed by a client report from the British Airports Authority, with a third, yet to be confirmed, project report. The day will be brought to a close by William at 15.15

Entry to the active and static displays will be free of charge and this part of the event is open to all, not just members of the NFDC and IDE. Machines on show are likely to include several of the latest high reach machines in the static areas, with a number of crushers, screens and other equipment being put through their paces in the demonstration areas. During the Saturday of the event, a number of special attractions will be available for younger attendees to make the day into a full family event.
