Deadline approaching – enter the World Demolition Awards today!

Now is the time to get those entry forms done!

The deadline for these international demolition and recycling awards, which recognise exceptional demolition and related waste recycling projects, is Tuesday 30 June.

Contractors have a choice of 10 categories to enter. They comprise:

• Contract of the Year Under US$ 1 Million
• Safety & Training
• Urban Demolition
• Civils Demolition
• Industrial Demolition
• Contract of the Year – US$ 1 Million+
• Recycling Award
• Environmental Award
• Explosive Demolition
• Collaboration in Demolition

Projects can only be entered once and must be submitted to a single category.

Contractors are, however, encouraged to submit multiple projects across the awards programme, with each project entered individually in the most appropriate category.

Construction equipment manufacturers can compete in the Manufacturers’ Innovation: Equipment & Tools category, which recognises outstanding products and technologies that support the demolition industry.

The same entry rules apply, with all submissions required to demonstrate clear relevance and application to demolition works and projects.

In addition to the 10 main award categories, every year the World Demolition Awards also recognise the most outstanding project which is awarded the ‘Best of the Best’ trophy.

Selected from among the category winners, this ultimate award is presented to a single contractor for a project that demonstrates the very highest levels of safety, environmental performance and technical excellence.

Previous winners include Brandenburg, Colemans, Priestly, Erith Contractors, Kiewit Manson, Safedem, Jet Demolition and DDM Demontage.
