Family-owned Kiesel, which is headquartered to the southwest of Munich in Baienfurt, first became a Hitachi distributor in 2003 and since then has gone on to become the exclusive supplier of Hitachi machines for Germany, Austria and Poland.

With 45 branches across Europe and “a huge network of sub-dealers”, Hitachi says Kiesel has been hugely successful in strengthening the reputation of the brand in Germany - doubling its share of the country’s construction equipment market.

While last year saw the manufacturer present Kiesel with its Pioneering Spirit Award for consistent innovation in digital and customised solutions, it also saw the companies expand their relationship by establishing  joint venture company, Kenki Technology Group (KTEG).

KTEG is a developer of zero-emission construction equipment and construction technology for the European market. It is the evolution of the European Application Center for electric construction machinery, which Kiesel and Hitachi first formed in 2018.

Takaharu Ikeda, President of HCME, said: “Kiesel have exceeded the expectation of our customers and shown exceptional commitment to sustainability and to delivering cutting-edge solutions. Congratulations on their 20th anniversary as a Hitachi dealer – we hope to continue working with them for many more.”
