Compact crushing solution for Dig & Shift

13 July 2015

UK site clearance and groundworks contractor Dig & Shift Ltd has acquired a Rubble Master RM70Go together with an OS70Go screen from UK dealer ECY Haulmark. Founded in 2004, brothers Richard and Bruce Turner have recently established their own transfer station in Ellesmere Port, UK, where they are producing recycled aggregate.

As a result the company required a compact tracked impact crusher that could work in the company’s yard and yet be easily transportable to demolition sites for waste recycling duties as required. The company approached ECY after seeing a Rubble Master machine in action in action and subsequently hired an RM80Go to test the machine’s capabilities. Following a successful experience with this machine, Dig & Shift placed an order for the smaller RM70Go along with the OS70Go screen.

Now having the ability to store and stock pile large amounts of pure concrete and mixed construction waste Dig & Shift Ltd reports it is recycling around 80 tonnes per hour. Pure concrete is recycled into Type 1 MOT with the addition of the Rubble Master OS70 screen. According to the company, some customers prefer the Type 1 (40mm to dust) produced by the combination to newly quarried product, stating this is a cleaner end product and certified sub base than a traditional jaw crusher. The RM70Go is also producing 6F2 material for standard sub base at up to 120 tonnes per hour.
