Colemans CEO joins CIOB Sustainability Advisory Panel
23 October 2025
Mark Coleman, Chief Executive of Colemans, has been appointed to the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Sustainability Advisory Panel.
Colemans CEO Mark Coleman.
The panel provides strategic guidance on sustainability policy, circular economy practices, and carbon reduction in the built environment.
Its remit includes supporting circular economy principles, driving carbon reduction in the built environment, and informing initiatives to promote sustainable construction
Coleman, a CIOB member and Fellow since 2015, said: “It’s a privilege to be invited onto the CIOB’s Sustainability Advisory Panel. The environmental challenges facing our sector are complex, but they’re also a chance to rethink how we build, deconstruct, and reuse more responsibly.
“At Colemans, we’re moving beyond just traditional demolition methods. Our focus on engineered deconstruction supports the circular economy, prioritising the reuse of materials over recycling, and using precision methods and innovation to cut carbon and reduce waste.
“It’s a more intelligent, environmentally conscious way of working and one that better serves our clients, our communities, and the planet. I look forward to contributing insight to the panel and continuing to push for smarter, more sustainable outcomes across the industry.”
Earlier this year, Colemans’ Assistant Project Manager Titus Akpan was appointed Sustainability Ambassador for the CIOB Birmingham Hub, part of a network promoting sustainability best practice across the industry.
The company said the appointments highlight its ongoing involvement in sustainability initiatives within the construction sector.
