15 December 2015

Dawnus Construction, the United Kingdom-based international civil engineering and building company, has bought six new Doosan 25 to 35 tonne crawler excavators worth more than £700,000 (US$1.1 million) for projects across England and Wales.

Purchased from Doosan dealer Kellands (Plant Sales), the order includes the latest DX340LC-5 and DX300LC-5 Stage IV compliant models.

Martin Egan, plant hire manager at Dawnus, said: “This new order continues our long standing association with Kellands and Doosan Construction Equipment and includes a 35 tonne machine, the DX340LC-5, three DX300LC-5 30 tonne excavators and two Doosan DX255LC-3 25 tonne machines.

“These excavators find themselves on major projects including a civil/marine project in Plymouth, an underpinning project on an old Victorian aqueduct in Birmingham and a hydroelectric project on the River Taff, just north of Cardiff.”

Graham Bagwell, managing director of Kellands, added: “We are delighted to have secured this prestigious order from Dawnus for Doosan excavators working on the company’s impressive portfolio of UK contracts.

“Dawnus has been very satisfied with the performance of Doosan machines including those previously bought for overseas jobs in mining and iron ore extraction.”
