A Promove XP4500 breaker was used to remodel the port of Poltu Quatu on the Italian island of Sardinia to make mooring room for 239 10-35 m (33-115 ft) yachts

Contractor P.Aul. Immobiliare, based in Olbia, northeast Sardinia, is a specialist in marine works, earthmoving and demolition, and was engaged to restyle the port of Poltu Quatu on the island. The work involved the demolition of 40 concrete blocks, each weighing 56 tonnes (carried out using explosives) where the former moorings were located. Demolition of underwater granite was also required to deepen the harbour and position new pillars for the new marina structure.

A Promove XP4500, mounted on a Fiat-Kobelco EX455 positioned on a pontoon, performed the latter job as well as the underwater demolition of a concrete structure measuring 40 x 4 m (130 x 13 ft) at a depth of 3.5 m (11.5 ft). All the material was processed by another Promove demolition attachment (a CP1510 multi-processing crusher installed on a CAT 319D), recycled and reused on site.
