Since its foundation in 1926, Bechtel Group has been dedicated to the extraction, processing and supply of mineral construction materials throughout the Hochrhein region.
The family-owned business, which is based in southern Germany, close to the Swiss border, produces and supplies high-quality sand and gravel products, accepts uncontaminated excavated soil, and recycles concrete demolition waste into secondary construction materials.
It is celebrating its centenary year by making a significant investment in a modern wet processing solution, according to managing director Michael Bechtel, who added, “This investment is far more than the purchase of a new processing plant. It is a clear commitment to our site, our company and our long-term development.
“Our objective is to continue strengthening the Bechtel Group and position the business for long-term success for future generations.”
The new wet processing plant will complement the group’s existing processing infrastructure with advanced washing, classification and dewatering technology.
It has been designed to meet the specific requirements of the Wallbach site, and is described as providing the foundation for efficient, high-quality processing of a range of mineral material streams.
