Awards entry advice available in five languages

Last year’s World Demolition Awards attracted a record entry with contractors and manufacturers from 15 different countries putting themselves forward for the ceremony in Miami, USA, last October.

Part of the reason for this surge in interest was a handy A4 size ‘How to Enter’ document directing would-be entrants to the website at www.demolitionsummit.com

It featured a simple six-stage process for submitting a product or project for the judges’ scrutiny, helping some of the entrants to overcome any worries they may have had about making the investment in time necessary to pursue a World Demolition Award.

Now we have gone a stage further and had the entry advice translated into French, German, Italian and Spanish, meaning that for companies outside English speaking countries, the entry process is easier still.

The World Demolition Awards are part of the World Demolition Summit, which was established in 2009 and this year takes place in London on Thursday November 2.

The awards themselves cover 11 categories. The international panel of expert judges who vote on the shortlisted entries will also decide an overall winner from the first placed entrants in the individual categories.

The event is organised by Demolition & Recycling International magazine in co-operation with the European Demolition Association. The headline sponsor is Volvo Construction Equipment.
