Germany-based OEM Atlas is to build selected wheeled material handler models under the Develon brand, as part of a new partnership announced at the Bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany.

Atlas, based in Ganderkesee, Germany, manufacturers cranes, wheeled, crawler and rail-road excavators and material handlers.

At Bauma, Atlas has launched its new large 450MH material handler, and Develon’s 16t and 35t models. Commercialisation of the models will start in selected European markets and the partnership could be expanded in the future.

Jayden Lim, CEO at Develon Europe, said: “At Develon, we are continuously developing our product range. The new partnership with Atlas will help us to build on the success we have had in material handling for the waste and recycling industry across Europe. We are delighted to be collaborating with a partner with the established experience and stature of Atlas.”

Brahim Stitou, CEO at Atlas, said: “Atlas and Develon have entered into this strategic partnership in order to jointly expand our market coverage and machine population in regions where we can further enhance our presence. Both our companies focus on premium service, innovation, and our ultimate objective of making make our customers happy. We already look forward to our future partnership and are confident that it will be beneficial for all of us.”
