Ammann has said that its deliveries of parts and products have so far remained on track, despite the worldwide outbreak of Covid-19.

Stating that it remained “open for business”, the company said its factory in Shanghai, China, is back to full operations after being closed for weeks due to the pandemic. However, the Switzerland-based manufacturer said it was no different from other businesses that are experiencing production challenges.

“We are committed to the safety of all our employees”, said Hans-Christian Schneider, CEO of the Ammann Group, ”That commitment means that some manufacturing facilities might have reduced capacity or might be closed for a period of time following guidelines issued by local governments.”

The company plans to run its manufacturing plants using a flexibile approach. This will mean some plants increasing production to compensate for plants that need to be “idled” due to the impact of Coronavirus.

Ammann assured customers and dealers that it remains open for business and will continue to support them.

Schneider said, “The global nature of our operation makes us optimistic that we will keep our ability to manufacture and deliver our products.”
