A leading American trade association has elected a full slate of officers and directors in what it calls “a historic surge of new leadership.”

The Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA), heaquartered in Wisconsin, represents more than 200 companies who are responsible for the environmentally sound recycling of more than 500 million t of construction and demolition (C&D) materials generated in the US every year.

And the recent election has increased the number of volunteers serving on the association’s board of directors from 13 to 20.

Leading the new association is Troy Lautenbach, president of C&D recycling and demolition company Lautenbach Industries, based in Washington state.

His company also runs the San Juan Island Transfer Station and is a major supplier of substrates for the methane digesters in the Pacific north west.

Aside from his presidency of the CDRA, Troy chairs the Washington State Waste 2 Resources committee, is a board member of the Washington State Recycling Association and sits on two county solid waste advisory committees.
