Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, it has been estimated that the cost of necessary reconstruction work – including buildings and transportation and energy infrastructure – could be in the order of US$350 billion.

The joint document addresses not only undertakings expected from the EU, international institutions and Ukrainian national authorities, but also the international construction community.

The document describes the need to rebuild in accordance with EU standards, in terms of technical, social and environmental aspects of the work. They also touch on issues relating to political governance.

The recommendations letter – jointly produced by ACE, CECE, CICA, EDA, EFCA, EIC, ERA, FIEC and UEG – can be downloaded here.
