Swedish contractor Skanska is to build the new Lokomotion Technology Centre for industrial manufacturer Metso in Lahdesjärvi, Tampere, Finland.

Skanska won a €99 million (US$107.3 million) deal to construct phase one of the technology centre, which includes infrastructure and buildings totalling 34,000 sq m.

The factory will design, test, and manufacture technologies, equipment and components for the production of aggregates and sand.
