ACDE Europe joins Open-S Alliance to support standardisation of automatic couplers

Based in Wilen, Switzerland, ACDE Europe provides a range of demolition and recycling attachments for the European market, and its membership marks a continuation of the Open-S standard’s international expansion.

ACDE is the sixth company to join the Open-S Alliance in this year alone.

In April 2024, equipment giant Wacker Neuson signed up, and in August, Construction Equipment Group from Norway, Craig Manufacturing from Canada, Daedong Engineering from South Korea, and Pacific JCB from the United States all became new alliance members.

The organisation currently boasts 14 members, with Kinshofer, Rotar, and Volvo Construction Equipment also among its members.

As the alliance’s newest Associate Member, ACDE Europe – which supplies Beilite hydraulic hammers and manufactures ACDE hydraulic grapples, pulverisers, shears, and other attachments – aims to contribute to the standardisation of coupler solutions that facilitate efficient equipment compatibility.

The Open-S standard builds on a symmetrical quick coupler design and has gained traction internationally, particularly in industries like demolition, where frequent tool changes are essential.

By promoting interoperability, the standard aims to improve equipment use and profitability across diverse job sites.
