The latest phase of the Acton Gardens project is worth US$1.7 million to Mick George

This part of the project – a joint venture between Countryside Properties and L&Q – will deliver almost 250 new homes with a scheduled completion of summer 2020. The overall development is for more than 2,500 new homes, improved transport links and community facilities by 2026.

As well as the demolition, east of England-based Mick George has been chosen for asbestos management and bulk earthwork provisions. The total contract is worth £1.3 million (US$1.7 million).

“Having worked in partnership with Countryside Properties on a number of developments in the past, we’re pleased that they have recognised our credentials in providing multiple services on a project of this magnitude,” said contracts director Michael George.

“Our contracing services are becoming increasingly sought after up and down the country, which is a testament to the quality of service that the business is providing.”
