Komatsu introduces 5.2 tonne mini

Komatsu has introduced a new 5.2 tonne mini excavator into the European market in the shape of the PC55MR-3, which has an operating weight of 5,280 to 5,350 kg (11,616 to 11,770 lb), with a bucket capacity of 0.07 to 0.175 cubic metres (2.5 to 6.2 cubic feet). While not a zero tail swing design, the new machine does have a tight tail design that will allow it to be safely used in most restricted sites. It is powered by a 28.5 kW (38.2 hp) Komatsu 4D88E-6 Stage IIA compliant diesel and is available with either a short or long arm, cab or canopy, rubber, steel or road liner shows.

According to Komatsu, the machine's CLSS hydraulic system provides it with high performance and maximum control, making the PC55MR-3 a very productive and easy machine to use. Optional fingertip controls are available that act on the first hydraulic circuit line, making the use of attachments fatigue-free. Auto idling, to reduce noise levels and generate fuel savings, is also available as an option.
