Jim thrilled at judging experience
13 October 2017
World Demolition Awards judge Jim Graham completed his first year with the 2017 shortlists – and the process has left a big impression on the Winter Environmental man.
Jim, one of three US-based judges on the eight-strong international panel, was part of the sub-teams who decided the winners in the Collaboration, Contract over US$1 million, Recycling and Environmental and Innovation (Plant and Equipment) categories.
And it has been a memorable experience for Jim, who believes the awards entries highlight the sheer depth of expertise in the demolition industry worldwide.
“I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed participating in this year’s event.
“The opportunity to review the work and, in some cases, the level of detail that was provided, was very rewarding and – here is the best part – very educational. To read and understand the various levels of thought, effort, technique and complexity is only trumped by the solutions that our colleagues, globally, have responded to with each challenge.
“And, they have done so in a manner that allows me to take even more pride in the industry that I have been part of for 40 years.
“Thank you for allowing me to participate in the 2017 World Demolition Awards!”
Demolition & Recycling International thanks Jim and his fellow judges for their hard work and dedication in this tough task. The results of their deliberations will be made public on Thursday November 2 when the awards ceremony takes place at the World Demolition Summit in London.
