The Hannover Messe industrial manufacturing, automation and logistics exhibition due to take place in April has been postponed.

This vast German show was due to happen in April but will now run from 13 to 17 July. The 5,500-exhibitor, 200,000-attendee event, has been rescheduled in response to developments with the Coronavirus outbreak.

Organiser Deutsche Messe said it made the decision in close co-operation with the Hannover Region Health Authority, the Hannover Messe Exhibitors’ Council and the partner associations VDMA (German Engineering Federation) and ZVEI (German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association).

Hannover Region Health Authority recommended Deutsche Messe follow the advice of the Robert Koch Institute. It includes fever measuring stations at all entrances and assessing people according to whether or not they have travelled from high risk areas.
