EDA: ‘We are ready to meet again’

By EDA26 January 2022

Between June 9 and 11, 2022, the EDA (European Demolition Association) Annual Convention will be held in Paris, the capital of France.

The EDA says:

We have been looking forward to this news. To speak positively and to make plans that do not involve screens. And the fact is that we will see each other again, now in person, after a long time.

EDA Conference The EDA was unable to host its annual convention, including a one-day conference, in 2020 or 2021

Between June 9 and 11, 2022, the EDA (European Demolition Association) Annual Convention will be held in Paris, the capital of France.

An event that could not take place in 2020 and 2021, due to the health situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, and that now returns full of new features.

The EDA Annual Convention is a reference event for the DDR (Demolition, Decontamination and Recycling) sector, where suppliers and contractors from all corners of Europe meet, share experiences and create unbreakable bonds.

On this occasion, the activity will begin on Thursday, June 9, when the EDA General Assembly will be held with a welcome cocktail reception held for all attendees.

The professional programme, which is currently being finalised and completed, will be held in its entirety on Friday, June 10. The venue will be the Pavillon Dauphine Saint Claire, located in the centre of the French capital.

As always, this will consist of different conference sessions with some space for networking and rest, such as lunch and coffee break.

Once the professional programme is over, on Friday, June 10, one of the most exciting and eagerly awaited events of the Annual Convention will take place: the gala dinner.

On this occasion, it will be held at...the Eiffel Tower itself! We will dine at Gustave Eiffel Hall, located on the second floor of this emblematic building. It is a truly impressive location, suspended 57 m (187 ft) above the ground and with unbeatable views of the city.

In addition, all those who want to enjoy a leisure time in a wonderful city like Paris, will be able to enjoy a tour to discover the most iconic corners of the city and its lifestyle.

After a complicated time, in which we have had to live with screens in between, it is very exciting to meet again. We hope you will join us at the Annual Convention 2022.

What else is coming in 2022?
As always, EDA will continue to work on on-line education, through specialized webinars with free live access. And we will continue to develop our working group strategy.

Based on it, as we have already communicated previously, we are developing and launching specialised publications. One of the first to land in 2022 will be the Guide to End-of-life of Industrial Facilities, of great interest to professionals in the sector.
