Wacker Neuson to launch EW100 wheeled excavator at Bauma

Equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson is to launch the EW100 wheeled excavator at Bauma 2022, the company has confirmed.

The machine has a 10 t operating weight and is said to improve operator safety through the use of a rear view camera, which gives the operator a full view of their surroundings, and a flattened engine hood.

The company say that technology was a significant consideration when developing the machine, which has intelligent Attachment Management, Human-Machine-Interface, and the preparation for diverse assistance systems and interfaces.

Changing attachments is also made easier for the operator, according to the company, as the machine can assist in adjusting the hydraulic oil flow to the preset tool according to the selection made by the operator on the 10-inch touchscreen display in the cab.

Wacker Neuson say the traction hydraulics and high basic working capacity of the EW100 means it is able to perform tasks that would usually require 14 t machines.

The EW100 is to be unveiled at the show next month alongside the WL20e compact wheeled loader on booth FN.915.
