Despe CEO to speak at D&Ri Virtual Conference

The CEO of a major Italian contractor will speak about one of the industry’s most innovative demolition projects when he addresses D&Ri’s Virtual Conference on 27 April.

Stefano Panseri Stefano Panseri has been associated with Despe for more than 25 years

The theme of the conference is “Safety and Sustainability in Demolition and Recycling” and Stefano will bring his vast industry experience – spanning more than 25 years with the family-run business as well as more than 20 years as a board member of NADECO (the Italian Association for Demolition and the Circular Economy) and his current role as vice-president of the European Demolition Association – to the event.

In the online conference, he will describe the application of the company’s Top Down Way method of demolition – in which buildings are taken down floor by floor and debris removed by a system that can be adapted to fit the particular structure – at a large-scale project at the SNCF’s Gare de Lyon railway station in France.

Also speaking will be Steve Andrew, global business development and asset closure director at the newly opened European office of Australian demolition specialist Liberty Industrial, and Kiro Tamer, head of environmental sustainability at British company Keltbray. A fourth speaker will be announced shortly.

Delegates will have the opportunity to put forward questions to the individual speakers and there will also be a round table discussion.
